Who am I
Francine Lawson
With over 15 years in K–12 education, I’m passionate about helping schools build stronger instructional practices and close learning gaps—especially in literacy. I partner with public, private, and charter schools to support teachers and leaders through hands-on coaching, professional development, curriculum design, and targeted interventions for students in grades 3–8.
Currently, I serve as a Professional Learning Engagement Partner and Literacy Specialist with Reading Horizons, where I collaborate with district and school leaders to implement effective literacy programs that blend direct instruction with adaptive technology. My approach is grounded in adult learning principles and designed to be both scalable and sustainable—because real change happens when strategies stick.
Before that, I held multiple leadership roles with Hillsborough County Public Schools in Tampa, FL. From mentoring new teachers to designing districtwide PD initiatives and leading early literacy interventions, I’ve always focused on what works—and how to support educators at every stage of their journey.
I hold a Master’s in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education, along with certifications in educational leadership, reading, and literacy coaching. I’m also a National Certified Facilitator with Reading Horizons and a frequent keynote speaker at education conferences.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: when educators grow, students thrive. If you’re looking for a collaborative partner to help strengthen instruction, support your staff, and improve student outcomes—I’d love to connect.
